PETRARCH has officially started, and we’re looking for the first of two funded PhD students. The first student should start in September 2023, and their PhD will be on the reconstruction of atmospheric CO2 throughout the late Cretaceous using boron isotopes. There will be opportunities for field work, training in foraminiferal taxonomy at the Smithsonian Institution, funds for conferences and summer schools.

And to apply, you have to go through the main university application portal here. (Note this is a bit of a boilerplate application procedure- you can enter ‘PhD Geology’ and 100% EPSRC funded for the funding, and upload the pdf advertisement as a research proposal)
DEADLINE 15th FEB 2023!
